Mambajao Camiguin
Mambajao is the capital municipality of the Island. There are two versions of the origin of the name. The first is that it came from the Bisayan word “Bahaw” which means left-over cooked rice. The other is from the Bisayan word “Mamahaw” which translates to eating breakfast.
White Island, Katibawasan Falls and Ardent Hot Spring are located in Mambajao. Most of the hotels/apartelles are located in Mambajao. So if you plan on visiting the island, Mambajao is your first stop.
